Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your minimum order quantity?
There is no fixed MOQ. We run single-piece prototypes and small batches from one part upward, then scale to low-volume production runs. Unit price falls as quantity rises — send us your target quantity and we will quote accordingly.
How long does a quote take?
Quotes are returned within one business day. Complex assemblies, or tight-tolerance work needing a manufacturability review, may take up to two business days — and we will tell you that rather than leaving you waiting.
What is your lead time?
Prototypes typically ship in 5–7 business days after drawing approval and material availability confirmation. Small-batch production runs are scheduled to your deadline — tell us your required delivery date when you request the quote.
What tolerances can you hold?
Our general tolerance standard is ISO 2768-m. On critical dimensions we hold ±0.01 mm where the drawing calls for it. If you need something tighter, send the print and we will confirm feasibility before quoting.
Which file formats do you accept?
STEP (.step, .stp) and IGES (.igs, .iges) are preferred for 3D models. We also accept .x_t, native SolidWorks, and 2D PDF or DWG drawings. A 2D drawing carrying tolerances, material and finish is the single most useful thing you can send.
Do you provide inspection reports?
Yes. A dimensional inspection report is issued with every shipment, verified on our Zeiss CMM. Material certificates and first-article inspection reports (FAI) are available on request — mention it when you order so we build it into the schedule.
What surface finishes do you offer?
Anodizing (clear, black and colour), zinc plating, nickel plating, powder coating, bead blasting, brushing, polishing and passivation. Add the finish callout to your drawing, or ask us to recommend one for your environment.
Will you sign an NDA?
Yes — we sign NDAs on request and treat unreleased designs as confidential by default. Access to your drawings is restricted to the engineers working on your part, and we never use customer parts or drawings in marketing without written permission.
How do you handle quality problems?
We operate a 7-day inspection period after delivery. If a part does not meet the drawing, send us the measurement data and photos and we will verify the discrepancy first, then remake or refund. Verified problems get fixed.
How do you ship, and who pays import duties?
We ship worldwide by express courier (DHL, FedEx, UPS) for prototypes and small batches, and by air or sea freight for larger runs. Shipping is quoted with your order. Import duties and taxes in the destination country are the buyer’s responsibility unless agreed otherwise in writing.
What payment methods do you accept?
Card payment online for smaller orders, and bank wire transfer (T/T) for larger orders and production runs. Payment terms for repeat production customers can be agreed in advance.
How do I start?
Send your drawings, material, quantity, finish and required delivery date through our Request a Quote form. You will get a quote and any manufacturability questions back within one business day.
